Scott Farris Author Event

03/19/2012 6:00 pm

Event Starts at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 19

"Scott Farris is a former bureau
chief for United Press International and a political columnist, who has
interviewed many of the men and women who have sought the presidency
over the past thirty years.

He has managed several political campaigns, and was the Democratic
Party’s 1998 congressional nominee for Wyoming’s at-large district, the
seat once held by former vice president Dick Cheney.  His loss in that
race led to his ruminations on the role losers play in a democracy." -Bill Frank

Join us March 19th, as he talks about his new book Almost President: The Men Who Lost the Race But Changed the Nation. His book looks at men who have run for president, and lost the race. But, how even after losing still have had an impact on American history, sometimes more than the men who actually won.

C-SPANs Book TV will also be here to do a live show at the event. Presented by Boise State Political Science Alumni Association.
